Maya Elaine McClain is a dynamic and multi-talented artist from Atlanta, Georgia. She has made her mark as a skilled dancer, actress, and choreographer, with a strong passion for both performance and education. Her journey in the performing arts began at the age of six in a competition dance studio, where she trained and performed with multiple companies. Over time, she progressed from student to student-teacher, becoming a full-time instructor by the age of 16—an experience that ignited her lifelong love for dance and mentorship.
Maya continued her artistic and academic pursuits at Emerson College, where she earned a BFA in Theatre & Performance with a minor in Dance in 2017. In that role, she choreographed, conceptualized, and produced full-length showcases each semester, honing her leadership and creative vision through collaboration and performance. She has also performed in professional productions in Boston, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, further deepening her connection to the stage.
Now based in Los Angeles, Maya teaches dancers ages 3 to 16, sharing her expertise and passion across a range of styles including tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, and musical theatre. She continues to inspire the next generation of young artists through her dedication to education, creativity, and community.
